Banded Pattern

This pattern is one of our earliest glaze patterns. It is quietly elegant, yet has an "earthy" quality as well. A zirconium white glase is poured over the piece in two steps creating an overlap that shows up as a denser white "cloud". Then it is put back on a wheel to individually paint each line or "band" on the glaze. The colored bands are made from modified iron mixtures. These glazes are fairly similar from firing to firing.

The bottoms of the dinnerware are flat, and will not collect water in a dishwasher. All the pieces are carefully measured while on the wheel to make sure they are all the same size to easily stack inside one another.

Over the years, we have made many dinnerware sets as wedding gifts. Please be sure to check out our Bridal Registry. information.
