Raku Ware Gallery - Raku Clock 1

This innovative design allows you to display the clock in 3 posistions (Click HERE for examples). The clock has 3 different glazes on it. It is fired to approximately 1800°F (960°C), and then removed while orange hot from the kiln with metal tongs. As the glaze cools rapidly, it tends to crackle, and the smoke will fill the crackle as well as smoke blacken the porous clay.

Orders taken if this one is sold. Though no two pieces will fire out exactly the same, this glaze is very similar from firing to firing.
