Small Rutile Mug |
This is the
smallest sized mug we make. It has a "peachy" colored glaze
with an iron and then a zirconium white glaze overlayed in a free splash
design. This size is also available in most of the other colors we have
in our main gallery with the exception of the copper red glaze, and
raku glazes. Stoneware clay, fired in a mildly reducing atmosphere to
2425°F (1310°C).
Though these mugs are perfectly designed to fit comfortably in an adult hand, the scale is also well suited for children. This size holds roughly 5 oz. of liquid, and is ideal for those who either don't like larger mugs or would rather refill a cup a second time to always be drinking a hot drink. This particular glaze is not like most of our others in that it has a range of colorations from firing to firing. So, no two pieces will fire out exactly the same. Orders taken if this one is sold.
