Tall Bonnie's Blue Dripless Pitcher |
Bonnie's Blue glaze with splashs of our iron and white glazes over it has become a standard color combination over the years. This glaze has a beautiful color quality, similar at times to Lapis Lazuli. This size is also available in most of the other colors we have in our main gallery with the exception of the copper red glaze, and raku glazes. Stoneware clay, fired in a mildly reducing atmosphere to 2425°F (1310°C). Though these pitchers are perfectly designed to fit comfortably in an adult hand, the scale is also well suited for children. This size holds roughly 9 oz. (266ml) of liquid, and is ideal for a variety of liquids including milk or cream for coffee, soy sauce, oil and/or vinegar (buy two!). One of our customers came back to say they use it for maple syrup. They heat the syrup in a microwave first to thin it and say it pours very nicely! Let us know if you find another use for it. All pitchers include a natural cork stopper. This particular glaze combination is fairly similar from firing to firing. However, no two pieces will fire out exactly the same.
