Taroko Vase
There will
never be a finer example of this glaze, it is truly a gift of the kiln.The
name "Taroko" is an area of Taiwan we visited with mountains
of marble. Many beautiful vases and other forms are made from this stone.
The colors on this piece reminded us of this marble. It is unique and
unlikely to be reproduced again. Fired to 2425°F (1310°C). Semi-porcelain
clay, fired in a highly reducing atmosphere
No two pieces will fire out exactly the same! This glaze is very difficult to reproduce from firing to firing. Buy it while it is still available !
